Casting for Recovery

14 randomly selected participants whom are surviving Breast Cancer at any age and stage with their doctors permission are invited to attend a working Fly Fishing psyche-social 2.5 day retreat at NO COST. You need not ever have held a fly rod in your life and you just have to get yourself to Rotorua. You will be immersed in the world of fly fishing learning all about what trout eat and their habitats. We will also teach you sustainable fishing in the form of compulsory Catch and Release fishing techniques.
Casting for Recovery also likes to 'leave no footprint' and where possible we are using carbon neutral products and we will also demonstrate this around fly fishing.
We also operate by 'partnership, protection participation'.
Trained volunteers will cater to your every need and at all times you work to you own level. You are free to take breaks when needed.
