Reggae, soul, dub, funk, afro, gypsy are just some of the genres used to try and describe Chocolate Strings' music. The 8 piece hail from "reggae hub of Australia", West End, Chocolate Strings have been on the circuit for just a couple of years, playing their mix of reggae based tunes around Australia and shared the stage with a broad range of acts such as The Black Seeds, Charly 2na, Natty Ruts, The Bird, Katchafire, and played various festivals such as: Island Vibe (07, 08, 09), Woodford Folk Festival (08/09, 09/10), Kuranda Roots Festival (09), West End Carnival (09) and Brisbane Festival 09 to name a few.

This is the first trip over to NZ for the Strings, come check it out. Doubt you will be standing still for long...the dance floor awaits your presence. They have added the smooth grooves of Mad Faces along for support on a couple of shows, its bound to be some fun nights.
