The Phil Edwards Acoustic Experience

The Ivory Lounge is delighted to launch it's Weka Summer Music Programme on Friday 5th February.

Throughout the month we will be hosting music events such as our Summer Hits Beach Party, 80's Theme Night, Steve Larkin's Tribute to Freddie Mercury and the Best of British music sets, as well as Twilight Jazz Sessions and our regular JD Whiskey Wednesdays with live hip hop acts Anonymouz and The Hypnotics.

Kicking off proceedings tonight at 6.30pm with their laid back summer sounds is the Phil Edwards Acoustic Experience.

Hailing from Hawke’s bay the Phil Edwards band has a distinctive summer feel to their soulful songs which range from warm acoustic ballads reminiscent of Jack Johnson through to blues numbers with a John Mayer/Ben Harper influence - perfect for celebrating that summer feel and taking it on into the night.

Following this will be our resident Piano Man Deryn Trainer playing all your favourite hits and requests.
