Strudel mania – Stefan Rinke, our Austrian Baker is celebrating February with Strudel mania. There will be 9 different fruit strudels for you to try.

Lynn and Carole of ‘Bee Happy’ make fabulous honey and sell it at the market every Saturday except for the last Saturday of the month. Carolyn explains:
"We keep bees in Grey Lynn, Beachlands and at Kelmarna Organic Farm. In the summer the bees collect a surplus of honey which we gather from our apiaries. Urban Honey is becoming increasingly more popular according to recent articles from France and the United Kingdom. New Zealand urban bees are healthier, according to experts in France, and our bees have a surplus their own honey left on for winter feed. The flavours change from batch to batch, apiary to apiary. The honey is raw and tastes different from heated commercially produced honey. Our honey is available to taste at the market. In season we have honeycomb fresh from the hive. We also sell bees wax and frozen fresh pollen when its available".

Eugene Unison is with us this week with his juggling and unicycle act – come along and watch this guy perform and throw some coins into his buskers hat. Eugene entertains with unicycling, plus a range of weapon's and death deifying stunts He will amaze, panic and most likely surprise you. Ladies and gentlemen the man behind the uni brow Eugene Unison.

Bring a friend and hurry along to the market early for the pick of seasonal produce then relax with coffee, hot breakfast food or baked delights, in the ambient surroundings next to the Domain. The market is in the car park behind the brick Jubilee Building, home to the Parnell Library and Parnell Trust.

Free parking for 90 cars during market hours at 47 George Street – these are graciously supplied by our neighbour AECOM, across the street from the George Street market entrance.
