Sue Pugmire & David Iwikau will be performing with fabulous violinist Graeme Creehan (violin, mandolin, guitar & vocals) over a series of 'February Fridays'.
David Iwikau's guitar playing has been likened to that of Joe Satriani, Stevie Vai, George Benson, Martin Taylor, finger-picking great Tommy Emmanuel, & Jazz guitar "Legend" Joe Pass. "His playing somehow incorporates aspects of them all" states Pugmire "and he's comfortable in a wide-range of styles. So is Graeme. It's an absolute pleasure to play with them both."
Singer Sue Pugmire (vocals & guitar) is also well-known for crossing musical boundaries & is as comfortable with Folk & Celtic as she is with rock, latin, jazz, blues & country. "I guess it's because I've performed with so many different types of bands over the years", she laughs."I've been performing in bands since I was 13!"
This terrific trio will be playing a wide-ranging repertoire including all of the above & more, on "February Fridays"-but with an emphasis on the Celtic music, given it's a Celtic Pub- starting tonight. (5th Feb).
At some of their gigs they will be joined by another "guitar whizz", Chris Gain.
"When Dave & Chris get together - the music gets really 'HOT'", Pugmire adds. "It's definitely worth a look & a listen!!
Check them out on YouTube, then come & see the Real Thing!".
