A concert of music, song, poetry, dance from local Manawatu artists: Karlo Mila, the Brazen Hussies, Helen Lehndorf, Richard Mays, Junk & Disorderly, to name a few.
Educational speakers will talk briefly about issues affecting the Manawatu river. Creative valentines for the earth and for the river will be made, by children and adults, from recycled and natural materials.
Other creative constructions will be made also.
On the 14th Feb, at Your Valentine For The Earth Concert, keep an eye out for 'Junk & Disorderly' making their giant structure for the children's procession at Standing Ground Toitu Te Whenua: march.
Your Valentine For The River Concert is a time of music, song, dance, and celebration of our connection to the Manawatu river. Fun for all the family. Back up bad weather venue, the Upstairs Gallery at Te Manawa Art Gallery.
The photo features dancer Ulrike Uslar-Furkert.
