The sounds and soul of Scotland returns to Paeroa!

Whether there's a bit of Scot in you or not, this is a great day of entertainment for the whole family as the picturesque Paeroa Domain takes on a festival atmosphere.

Commencing with Highland Dancing, Solo Piping and an Axemans Chopping Carnival the cultural extravaganza continues throughout the day.

At 11.00am witness the Clan's March to the Town Centre, see the big men Tossing the Caber and competing in the strongmen events.Take the opportunity to meet the Clan's and check out your genealogy.

Highland and Scottish Terrier Clubs "Black and White Day"

At midday the Pipe Band's contest starts with 14+ Pipe Bands from the upper North Island competing in Set's and Medley competitions concluding with a street march at 5.30pm.

The highlight for many will be, the Evening Tattoo at 6.30pm.This 2.5 hour variety spectacular complete with the Paeroa castle is based on the famous Edinburgh Tattoo in Scotland, and features massed pipe bands, highland dancing, caber tossing, mace flourshing, wood chopping, ode to the haggis, Scottish singing and much more.
