The Waitangi Community Korero Workshops will be held in the Education Room at Puke Ariki in New Plymouth from 1 - 5 February 2010.

Presenters: Margaret Smith, Marcus Akuhata-Brown and Justin Duckworth will discuss a range of topics around the Treaty of Waitangi.

• Monday 1 February, 10am - 12pm:
The Treaty of Waitangi 101 - An overview of the Treaty for new leaners and people from all ages and backgrounds.

• Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 February, 9:30am-12pm:
Your Identity and the Global Community - Exploring issues of identity and culture to encourage a deeper understanding of living in Aotearoa within a global context.

• Thursday 4 February, 9.30am - 12.30pm:
How Important is the Treaty in 2010? - Gain an understanding of the
history of the Treaty and what it means for us as a community today.

• Friday 5 February, 9.30am - 12.30pm:
Tino Rangatiratanga - An opportunity for people of all ages and
backgrounds to explore the meaning of this concept.
