Join the Auckland Baptist Tramping Club for an afternoon walk in the Mercer Bay clifftops between Piha and Karekare.

There will be a treasure hunt during the tramp for those who wish to - bring a tramper's GPS if you want to take part in this. Followed by an optional pot-luck BBQ dinner at a member's bach nearby.

Transport can be arranged from central Auckland.

Please bring day pack, boots or strong footwear, snacks, drink, wet weather gear.

Thirty-seven people had a lovely time climbing up from Karekare to the clifftops to see the spectacular wild west coastline and view the inaccessible Mercer Bay. Some of us used GPS receivers to find a Geocache in the bush, and we also enjoyed a short reflection on one of the Psalms. Afterwards quite a few of us had a lovely pot-luck BBQ at a member's home nearby.
