This mixed media exhibition features finalist works selected for the Estuary Artworks Awards.

Estuary Artworks 2010 aims to raise the profile of the Tamaki Estuary encouraging community protection from all forms of pollution through exploration of visual arts.

First Prize Winner will be awarded $8,000 on opening night 11 February 6.30pm.
Prestigious Judges are: Justin Boroughs - realism landscape painter and Art Teacher; Jo Gow - Director of Connells Bay Sculpture Park; and Robyn Pickens - Curatorial Intern, Artspace 2009.

There will be a series of floor talks throughout the exhibition:

• Thursday 18 February 12pm
A representative from Auckland City Council will be discussing the environmental issues surrounding the Tamaki Estuary and what can be done to address these issues.

• Thursday 25 February 12pm - Alan La Rouche
Alan La Rouche from Howick Historical Village will be discussing the history of the Tamaki Estuary

• Thursday 4 March 12pm - Artist discussions
A selection of the finalists will be discussing their artworks and inspiration.
