New Zealand guitar legend Billy T K Snr is coming to the west coast, bringing with him the songs and spirit of the summer festivals he has recently been playing.

Playing since the 60’s, now in his 60’s, Billy is in fine form. He’s never stopped. He brings his wealth of experience on stage with him. It’s music you can connect with, especially if you love guitar led music.

Billy leads you through a fusion of acid rock, funk, blues, and pacific rhythms, and you can expect to enjoy some classic covers of greats like Jimi Hendrix or Eric Clapton - don’t expect them to sound exactly like the originals, Billy captures the spirit of the songs and takes them to his own place, the results are elevating and his repertoire as diverse as the artists he has performed with.

Billy has toured with and supported international artists such as John Mayell, Black Sabbath, UB40, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee, Joe Satriani, The Neville Brothers, Elvis Costello, Renee Gayor, Split Enz. He played with Carlos Santana at the Super Top in Auckland, with Carlos handing him the solos on Bob Marley’s Exodus.

He’s supported by Granity singers David Lee and Tracey McEwing ( Who joined Billy and his twelve piece band at Parihaka International Peace Festival last month), Bass player Jono and production man Hugh have been on the road with Billy since then, and were keen to extend the tour, share the music, and experience the west coast.

Don't miss this opportunity to experience the music and vibe of our own living guitar legend Billy T K Senior.
