It’s 1953 and the New Zealand cricket team – who’ve never won a test – embark on their maiden tour to South Africa.
After a long sea voyage the team reaches its destination and their campaign commences in earnest. Then suddenly back home tragedy strikes as the Tangiwai disaster unfolds.

The Second Test is a true New Zealand story of courage performed on stage by Jonny Brugh, including original film shot by the team members themselves.
