The Literatti & First Scene present the Side Stream Poetry Brothel
- a literally intimate affair with the Side Stream poetry prostitutes set in a 1930s poetry bordello.
A New Zealand first!
Live music sets the atmosphere for an evening of up-close-and-personal performance poetry. You can proposition any of a dozen different performance poets for private, one-on-one poetry lap-dances, three-ways and peep-shows - there is no line between performer and audience.
A Poetry Lap-Dance is a private 1-on-1 poetry performance with the poet of your choice. A Poetry Peep-Show is where you get to watch two poets make poetry together in a private booth. A Poetry Three-Way is where you get to take part in a three-person poem with two poets in a private booth.
First Lap-dance Free
Wear a mask or dress in theme and get in for half price
Poetry lap-dance $3 / Poetry peepshow $5 / Poetry 3-way $5
A table at front-of-house will sell you your lap-dance, peepshow and three-way tokens. You can then cash your tokens in with your chosen poet.
