Bio...

Cassian is the one and only zulu-synth warrior, using records for defence and filters for offence. He prepares for war in the confines of his Sydney studio. His quest for dance floor domination has led him to battles all around Australia, and more recently, internationally. However it wasn't always this way. His weapon of choice was originally a Fender battle-axe. You would often see him wielding a Strat or a Tele at band venues around Sydney. This somehow progressed onto the use of decks and a mixer, which in turn led to studio work, which finally led him to his new weapon of choice, the synthesizer.

The "Cassian" project was launched a quarter of the way through 2009 with a remix for Damn Arms "magnum opus" Destination. By the end of 2009 Cassian had completed remixes for Miami Horror (EMI), Bag Raiders (Mod/BG12s), Empire of the Sun (EMI), Classixx (Kitsune), Swick (Sweat it Out) and Telonius (Gomma). This slew of remixes, along with the release of his Debut EP on Bang Gang 12s, meant that the battle for dance floor supremacy was well and truly underway!

The title track from his EP "Friday Night" was slotted straight into full rotation on Triple J and will also be heard on the 2010 Ministry of Sound Clubbers Guide. The tune was also featured on the Bang Gang Radicool Compilation and his Miami Horror remix was included on Ministry of Sound's Mashed 5 compilation.

Cassian has been cutting his teeth and cutting the rug alongside The Bang Gang Deejays as part of their Radicool Compilation tour, playing shows all around Australia with them and other artists signed to Bang Gang 12s, including (but not limited to) Bag Raiders, Shazam and Gloves. He also supported names such as Boys Noize , Surkin, Drop the Lime, Laurent Garnier, D.I.M, Moulinex, Xinobi, Jokers of the Scene, Russ Chimes, Ben Mono, Les Petits Pilous and played alongside awesome Aussie DJs such as Ajax, Dangerous Dan, Jimmy2sox, Jonny Pow, Anna Lunoe, Magic Happens and U-Go-B.

Join the good fight and wage war alongside Cassian, good music must prevail and all those who stand to oppose it will surely be synthesized.

$10 / Doors at 10:30 / 27th of Feb
