Waiheke’s monthly original music night Acoustic Café returns again on Friday 17th December. This month's edition features all artists over from Auckland covering a range of styles.

Otis Mace performs both solo and with various combos and reflects fresh, bright, irreverent, and darkly comic takes on life in Aotearoa. His artfully-constructed love ballads and bright pop songs always include vivid story telling in his punchy performance. He has toured overseas, and opened for Billy Bragg, The Violent Femmes and Attilla The Stockbroker amongst many popular NZ acts. He has albums released on various labels.

Kristie Addison plays solo on acoustic guitar or piano or sometimes even a blue ukulele with pictures of fruit on it. She is also known for her recording-project-turned-occasional-rock-opera 'Transit of Venus', and in previous years her rock band Amperzahn. Kristie has recently returned to New Zealand after many adventures in Malaysia, including being bitten by a snake and playing session guitar on a song that was nominated for an AVIMA award. Kristies plans for this summer are to record fun things with friends, play lots of gigs, and enjoy New Zealand's beautiful beaches.

Originally from the USA David Kelly, even from an early age, had already decided he would be a songwriter. Eighteen years later, with a catalogue of 200+ songs, Kelley’s passion for creating music has yet to wane. Dragging behind him a wealth of experiences and a decade of stories (tales that would rival those of the beat writers), Kelley arrived on the shores of New Zealand in 2009 to begin a new chapter, if you like, by Kiwi-fying his ongoing and ever-changing project, 2 a.m. Orchestra which is captured in the 2010 EP release, ‘Fire Escape’. Kelley will be performing a solo slot with a view to returning with his full ‘orchestra’ sometime in the new year..
