Come celebrate the festive season with top North Shore musicians in a dynamic concert designed for all the family. Presented by Shane Cortese of Dancing With the Stars fame, you will also see Shane sing a few numbers with the band!

North Shore Brass feature playing Christmas favourites plus the best from their latest professionally recorded CD, with NZ and Australian cornet champion Kerry Wood as soloist. The wide range of music from classical to popular will include O Mio Babbino Caro, Spanish Eyes, A Mother as Lovely as You, James Bond’s Live and Let Die and a Queen Medley. You will also hear the band play lots of standards from the jazz big band era, and their award-winning Sacred Item from the 2010 National Brass Band Championships where they topped the A-grade.

Along with all the seasonal fun, this high quality concert will be full of impressive playing and heaps of “not-boring” pieces to capture the attention of all ages. Why not arrive early and enjoy the grand piano music in the foyer from 6.30pm. Every ticket purchased gets a free copy of the band’s latest CD, with concert proceeds going to the North Shore Hospice. So come and be part of the local Christmas spirit.
