Mel Parsons is a Kiwi singer/songwriter, originally hailing from the South Island's West Coast. Her debut album 'Over My Shoulder' was a finalist in the 2009 NZ Music Awards for Folk Album of the Year.

In her element on stage with “a voice that could work any night in Nashville yet sounds somehow intrinsically New Zealand", Mel Parsons is renown for ‘pin-drop’ performances, drawing in audiences and keeping them for the entire show. With a solid fan-base through her cracker live shows, Parsons is an accomplished performer who delights in any live setting.

Currently travelling NZ on a 21-date tour with Anika Moa, Parsons heads out for a short series of solo shows in the North Island this December, stopping at intimate venues in Carterton, Kapiti Coast, Taupo and Benneydale.
