The Lynfield College Big Band received a Gold Award at this years' KBB Festival and was awarded Best Performance by a Big Band jointly with Pukekohe High School. Their bass player, Song Bae, and first trombone player, Haena Kim, were both selected for the NZ Youth Jazz Orchestra this year and spent a week rehearsing and performing with Musical Director Steve Houghton.
The Lynfield College Combo consists of the best soloists and Rhythm section from the Big Band.
The St Peters College Big Band also received a Gold Award at this years' KBB Festival and performed in the Showcase Gala.
