Is your musical diet perilously anaemic, limp, and conspicuously devoid of any roughage? Storehouse bring some meaty treats to your table. Drink to it, dance to it, hump to it, just take your shoes off and get low to it. Bite it with calypso-blues agitators Storehouse this Xmas Eve-Eve.
Including numerous frankly offensive calypso and blues numbers concerning cannibalism, overactive sexual appetites, domestic violence and general deviancy, the Storehouse set is also suitably spiced with juke, boogie, shimmy and stomping.
Storehouse have recently returned to these shores from a short tour of California and the UK, playing a square dance, a wedding, a swap meet, a French restaurant, and narrowly escaping having to sleep in Heathrow airport. Expect Storehouse regulars Coco (the Mystic), Philly D (the Man with the Electric Guitar), Shadow (Remuera’s #1 Harmonica Player) and other friends as yet to be confirmed / telephoned.
Welcome to the Silly Season.

Blues In London: "Rodwell manages to eschew the cliches that beset blues music. By turns wild, angry, hypnotic and sensual, it's as uncompromising as it is funky and some of the best live music I've seen."
NME:"Tom Rodwell is Sheffield's answer to Lightnin' Hopkins.”
Metro (NZ): "Soul-probing... Raw, avant-garde improvisations."
Blues In Britain: "Psychotic gospel music."
BBC World Service: "Been a while since anyone's heard a song quite like that."
Time Out (UK): "Serving up eclectic, foot- stompin' alt. blues and visceral neo-spirituals."
