Matakana Village presents... Twilight at the Market Square, is a series of events that run Friday nights through December and January 2010.
Because of the popularity of the Twilights Markets, Matakana Village has decided to host the event on Friday nights and bring in more local food, wine, and music than in previous years. The Twilight series is seen as a complement to the Saturday Morning Farmers Market. It is not a growers' market but more of a fun, family friendly place to enjoy good company, music, food and wine from the Matakana Region in a relaxed setting.
Patrons can enjoy food from their favourite chefs from the farmers' market, and local wine from The Vintry, who were standout winners of the 2010 Maankitanga Hospitality Awards for Best Local Wine List. Other stall holders include cider from Zeffer Breweries and beer from Leigh Sawmill Brewing Company. Music will be provided in conjunction with local radio station Lot9 88.1FM and some very special guests. A fabulous way to start off a weekend away in Matakana over summer.
