Tautai by Iaheto Ah Hi is a coming-of-age story woven into the kiekie that our Tokelauan urban youth live in today.
It is a play with song, dance, gaming, b-boying, and giant sea turtles all interwoven with the playwright's love of Polynesian mythology and storytelling.
“So hop into our vaka and let us take you on a fishing trip, so that we may feast together on the tale of this fish.”
Written by: Iaheto Ah Hi
Directed by: Oscar Kightley
Starring: Iaheto Ah Hi, Shimpal Lelisi, Semu Filipo and Victoria Schmidt
Lighting Design: Katrina Chandra
Set Design: Sean Coyle
Presented by Punalei Productions in association with Mangere Arts Centre – Ngā Tohu o Uenuku.
