Regrooved NZ Sawmill Summer Jam

It has been a massive year for Regrooved so far, having brought some of the world's top ghetto funk/breakbeat talent to the shores of New Zealand, and this summer we want to celebrate with a very special party for our amazing supporters and friends.

After shaking the Auckland scene up with its electric party mix of ghetto funk, party hip hop, funk, breaks, dubstep and DnB, Regrooved is busting out of the city this December for one special Summer afternoon / evening jam up at the Leigh Sawmill, just north of sunny Matakana.

Set in the crisp, clean surrounds of northern town Leigh only 1 hour’s drive from Auckland, we invite you to shrug off the steel and concrete, and come party in the trees, beaches and sunny skies away from the big city hustle.

This time around we welcome Sydney based beat professor Jon Ohms! Whether he’s in the lab mixing up hip hop, deep funk, dubstep, electro or booty bass, Jon knows how to make the big tunes. Recently Jon’s had releases on the UK nu-funk label Goodgroove and worked on remixes for funk heavyweights Fort Knox 5, Rephrase, Jackson Jackson, Pablo Calamari, The Jump Off and The Killa Queens.

His bass heavy productions have had big props from world renowned DJs such as the Nextmen, A-Skills, DJ Yoda, Ali B, Fort Knox 5 and Q-Dup Foundation to name a few.

Jon’s a veteran DJ and has been raising the roof in clubs and festivals all over Australia for the past 10 years. Playing an eclectic mix of reggae, classic hip hop, rock, dubstep and his own bass heavy style, Jon always delivers the club bangers that keep the crowd begging for more.

$10 tickets available from 1-night.co.nz, Leigh Sawmill, Conch Records and Real Groovy. Limited strictly to 200 tickets, so get in quick. This will sell out!

We have organised a fully licensed party bus which will leave Chapel Bar in Ponsonby at 2.30pm and will be departing the Sawmill at 1.30am returning to Ponsonby Road.

Gig + return bus ride ticket combos are available for $50. These tickets are limited to only 40 people, so first in first served.

There are lots of accommodation options available in the area, but we advise you to book these ASAP as there are many weddings / events on around this time, and spaces are filling up fast.
