It's Rhys Darby Night

After sold out shows in Los Angeles, London, Edinburgh and throughout Australia and NZ's main centres, Rhys Darby brings his show "It's Rhys Darby Night" back to the greener pastures of heartland New Zealand.

Rhys will also take the show back to Christchurch as a fundraiser and will be donating every dollar of ticket sales to the Court Theatre and the Isaac Theatre Royal, who have both been hit hard financially by the recent quake.

This tour leads up to the recording of his second DVD in Auckland's glorious Civic Theatre this Christmas. Rhys is thrilled to be recording his next DVD in the theatre that was such a distinct memory from his childhood.

"It's Rhys Darby Night" is a mix of stories from Hollywood delivered in Darby's trademark animated style and also introduces some of his latest characters. Park Ranger Bill Napier, UFOlogist, Steve Whittle and Whale Watcher Ron Taylor.

Darby has seen a meteoric rise from stand-up comic treading the boards around the world, to star of sitcom “Flight of the Conchords” and movies “Yes Man” and “The Boat that Rocked”. Closer to home Darby has hosted C4’s “Rocked the Nation”, met gorillas on his TV One trip to Rwanda for “Intrepid Journeys” as well as appearances on TV3’s “Radiradirah”, “7Days” and of course as the face of mobile network 2 Degrees.

Darby will be supported by Billy T Award Winner Chris Brain.
