Drive through this fairyland of 500,000 sparkling lights which envelope lake-side trees. This display offers an experience you will not see anywhere else in New Zealand.

Tune your car radio to our FM frequency and watch the light displays animated precisely to music. There's diving penguins, jumping fish, spurting whales and a host of colourful sea creatures amidst thousands of dancing fairy lights.

The roadway is lined with NZ flora and fauna in light, including pohutukawa and silver ferns surrounding Maui and his brothers capturing the sun.

The toyland display features larger than life toy soldiers, candy canes, bells, stars and teddy bears. Our nativity scene, one of the largest in the country, is 40m wide.

The lights are turned on after dark at 9.15pm and then the wonder begins for young and old alike. We're open every night, rain or shine including Christmas night and New Year's Eve. During peak times there could be waiting line-ups of up to 15 minutes to enter.

We host a drive-through hot dog, chips and drink stand at the entry gate. Toilets available. Our friendly staff members along the roadways are there to provide any help.

There are pull-over lanes so you can stop, watch or photograph the light displays. 5km restrictions apply.

The New Year's Eve Celebration event will take place on 31 December. Please note: In 2010 we will not be mounting any stage entertainment, free rides or our two popular fireworks shows due to funding cuts however we will be back bigger than ever in 2012 with a world class New Year's Eve celebration.
