Sam Scott, Artistic Director and founder of Massive Company, will teach a full day workshop for teachers on ‘Approaches to Devising Theatre’.
The workshop will give teachers an insight to how Massive Company create theatre! The workshop will explore:
- Warm up exercises used by Massive Company to encourage ensemble building, focus, listening, physical exploration and the art of play and performance
- Ways to make theatrical material from ideas, themes and concepts
- Ways to deconstruct a story and look at how to turn it into a piece of theatre
Throughout the workshop Sam will gives notes and feedback to participants, along with opportunities to discuss ‘approaches to directing’ – Massive Company style.
All teachers who take part in the workshop will receive a certificate of participation from Massive Company, showing that they have completed the ‘Approaches to Devising’ workshop.
Cost includes tea, coffee and snacks. (Morning tea at 9am)
