Uncut Comedy Featuring Brendhan Lovegrove

Live comedy returns to the Academy Cinema with not one, not two, not eighteen, not three hundred, but four shows between Thursday 16th and Saturday 18th of December.

Thursday December 16th is the opening night of the weekend's Crack-Up and to kick things off we've got an appropriately cracking stand-up show featuring some great Auckland-based stand-ups, with the brilliant Brendhan Lovegrove headlining, winner of 4 2010 NZ Comedy Guild, including Best Male Performer, Gag of the Year, and Best TV Performance. There's other Comedy Guild commendations coming out of every conceivable orifice including:

- Best Newcomer Winner (Alan McElroy)
- Best Newcomer nominee (Andy Whiteoak)
- Most Offensive Gag nominee - (Reuben Lee)
- Most Improved Comedian nominee - (Sean Downie)

Plus a string of other really funny acts in this 2-hour session of concentrated funny. With a toilet break in the middle. Because we're considerate like that.

It's only $10 per ticket and this includes a free beer/wine/soft drink, and there's plenty of drink specials too, so there's no reason not to laugh. Unless you're a recovering alcoholic.

9.30pm – The Festive Pre-Festival Fest Show. (Some of the 2010 Comedy Festival applicants will try out some new ideas). Featuring Stella Graham, Sean Downie, Reuben Lee, Alan McElroy & Scotty. $10 including a drink.

Saturday December 18th:
8pm – The Uncut Comedy Christmas Show with mulled wine, heavy air-con and decorative tat. MC: Reuben Lee. $10 including a drink.
