Education researcher Dirk Steiner shares gripping stories and photography from his travels through a holy land perpetually scarred by political contrasts and strife.

For our December talk, Dirk Steiner returns once more to share absorbing whilst at the same time gripping stories from a Holy Land. The session is enriched by fascinating photography of unique sites in the Palestinian territories as well as Israel.

Dirk is a secondary school teacher and experiential educator from Germany who is presently working on his doctoral research project at Auckland University of Technology.

In 2009, feeling like a change, Dirk decided to go with a friend on a year-long round-the-world trip on foot. The two of them hitchhiked from Northern Europe all across Russia, straight through the Middle East and via India, Nepal and Tibet, all the way to Malaysia overland.

Whare Wānanga, level 2.
Don't miss out on this entertaining talk! Book now, phone (09) 377 0209.
