Papua New Guinea is a land of opportunity for Kiwi traders. In April next year a five-day trade mission from New Zealand will scope out these potential business opportunities. In the lead up to this mission, the Papua New Guinea Business Council is hosting an ‘International Tax’ event with guest speaker the Honourable Peter Dunne, Minister of Revenue.

Over lunch you’ll hear about international tax and Double Tax Agreements (DTA), which reduce the amount of tax to be paid by exporters. Minister Dunne will discuss how they currently work and the potential of entering into a DTA between Papua New Guinea and New Zealand.

This event will serve as an introduction to next year’s Trade Mission to Papua New Guinea where delegates will be introduced to high-ranking Papua New Guinea officials, make fresh connections with successful local business people and gain first hand knowledge on available market and industry opportunities.
