Children’s book authors, illustrators, performance groups and storytellers bring books alive for children and their caregivers at the Storylines Festival Free Family Day.
There are craft activities, readings and performances planned for all age groups, with new activities starting every thirty minutes. Sunday 15 August, 10am – 3pm, indoors at the Wellington Town Hall and Capital E.

Family Day competitions:
Write a one page story or poem about 'Pigs or Pirates' or create a clever illustration (A4 max) - in, on or around the sea. Let your imagination run wild.
Book prizes for the best writing and illustrations in each age group: 4 – 8 years and 9 – 12 years.
Enter in the competition zone at the Family Day – or write your story, poem or draw your picture in advance.
Please put your name, age, school, phone number and email address on the back of your entry and ask your parent or guardian to sign it as being your own work.
Entries close at 2pm. Prizegiving at 2.30pm in the Ilott Theatre, Wellington Town Hall. Prizewinning entries will be published on the Storylines website
