Website:
A comedy farce by local North Shore writer Paul Topliss. This fast paced comedy is based around Sally and John – a young Auckland couple. He is a builder and she is an art student at university struggling to make ends meet. In desperation John hatches the idea of a flatmate helping out with paying the mortgage, just until they can be on a better financial footing.
What happens in reality is far from their idea of financial recovery. Just to add to the stress level the interfering Dorothy (Sally’s mother) announces an unexpected visit – up from Taihape for the Auckland Orchid Show.
Dick, the new flat mate, can’t help but mix the situation up further by trying to “pull the wool” over the local bank manager, Monty’s eyes. The situation is further complicated with Theo, the gay neighbour and Sachelle the stripper – here to entertain the lads for the big stag night do.
