A Bench in the Sun directed by Gennie Barton.
This is a funny, poignant and wise play about two men - Burt, a crotchety pessimist, a cynic who considers himself a realist and Harold, a dapper and meticulous dresser and an optimist.
They spend their days philosophizing and bickering on a bench in the garden of their retirement home. That is, until Adrienne, a retired movie actress arrives. Her arrival not only creates intense competition between the two men, who each vie for her attention, but also brings a number of changes to their daily routine on their bench in the sun.
Canadian Ron Clark born 1933 is one of the most prolific, successful, and hilarious writers you've ever heard of. He's written for nearly every comedian from Jackie Gleason to Jackie Mason to the Smothers Brothers to Mel Brooks. He also writes plays and film scripts.
