Saturday, 14 August 2010 sees New Zealand's 2nd WSSA sanctioned National Sport Stacking Tournament held at Arena 3, Pascal Street, Palmerston North.
There will be over 100 children coming from across New Zealand to compete in 6 different events (3 individual, 1 double and 2 team), in 19 different age groups. The competitors are competing for the title of the New Zealand Sport Stacking All-Round Champion, 2010.
Competing will be the Black Stacks team members that travelled to the US in April to compete at the World Sport Stacking Championships. Three of the NZ team came back with 6 medals and a trophy from their Individual events.
Sport Stacking is an exciting individual and team sport where participants stack and unstack 12 specially designed plastic cups in a pre-determined sequence.
Sport Stacking with Speed Stacks has featured on TV One's Breakfast Show with Paul & Pippa, Pukana, Dare to Win & Hyundai Code, TV3's Campbell Live with footage from Whakarongo School.
Spectators may join the sport stackers, instructors and volunteers for a $3 entry charge.
