The Storehouse NZ residency continues with some more primitivist rhythm and blues shows for bohemians of all ages: “Put your hand on your hip and let your backbone slip!”
A bizarrely entertaining but utterly coherent hybrid featuring spontaneously arranged hard blues, calypso, slave-era spirituals and improvised randomania. Storehouse tour extensively in the UK, Switzerland, the US and Holland.
Storehouse appear with special guest chanteuse Coco - an expert in early female blues music, including the gritty repertoire of Ma Rainey, Geeshie Wiley, Lil’ Green and the Empress of the Blues, Bessie Smith.
