The World Cinema Showcase, the mini-festival presented every autumn by the organisers of the mammoth mid-winter NZ International Film Festival, is now 12 years old.
For two weeks each autumn, filmgoers in Wellington can feast on a menu of quality films from around the world. This friendly and accessible festival aims to celebrate all genres of film, celebrating the talents of new and not-so-new filmmakers.
The programme is filled with award-winners (Oscar success The Hurt Locker, BAFTA winner A Single Man), Festival hits (Still Walking, The White Ribbon) as well as lively movies that deserve a cinema screening. Check out the website for full programme listings.
