The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO) and special guest conductor Pietari Inkinen, will perform live at the Michael Fowler Centre in Wellington as a part of The Audi Tour.

The programme will include:
• Strauss - Metamorphosen
• Bruckner - Symphony No.7

In Metamorphosen, Richard Strauss spins the intertwining lines of 23 solo strings into an elegiac tapestry of music that’s unlike anything composed before or since. This is Strauss’ most personal utterance: serene, grief-stricken, enraged and finally resigned and peaceful.

Anton Bruckner is a composer who inspires a passionate following. Bruckner wrote symphonies that extended the musical adventures of Beethoven and Brahms.

With a spacious and heartfelt slow movement that is a memorial to Bruckner’s hero, Wagner, the Seventh Symphony is a highpoint of the symphonic tradition.

Tickets will be available from Ticketek.
