The title for this exhibition comes from a painting in Aigantighe Art Gallery's collection by Ewan McDougall.

This immortal line was spoken to McDougall when he was at art school by a tutor and he has spent the rest of his career resolutely ignoring it!

McDougall grew up in Oamaru and has exhibited his vibrant, expressionist works throughout New Zealand and internationally.
