Let’s Go Havana!
Orquesta Nueva Zelanda is the country’s only authentic Afro-Cuban ‘Orquesta Tipica Cubana’ specialising in 1950's Cuban sounds. This catchy violin-flute based Afro-Cuban music is the root of the Cha Cha, Mambo and Salsa.
Playing the sound that was made famous by the Buena Vista Social Club this ensemble features James Sneyd on violin, John Ellis on percussion, Craig Denham on piano, Peter Scott on double bass and Hershal Herscher on Cuban style wooden flute. Hershal played piano with New York's premier Afro-Cuban orchestra, the Orquesta Broadway during the 1960s and his passion for this music is infectious.
Bring your dance shoes it is going to get hot!
Food Platters available $30 for 2 people.
