MEDANZ, the Middle Eastern Dance Association of New Zealand, is holding its AGM and annual festival in Tauranga for the first time ever.

A weekend of dance workshops & drum workshops and a variety of belly dance performances.

Barbara Wolfcamp is the featured Middle Eastern dance tutor for this event, supported by others from around NZ. Local BoP dance tutor, Andria Goodliffe, of Belisha Dance Club, highly recommends that dancers & learners give raqs (belly dance) a go! Matt Stonehouse is the featured drum tutor, offering workshops for drumers of all levels.

There will be workshops and performances throughout the weekend - come and join in!

If you belly dance then this event is great its the highlight of many dancers years as there are workshops on offer with local artists where you get to try different styles of belly dance to your usual try a prop or learn more about the dance itself !
I love this fun filled weekend
and there is always an amazing show full of local talent with an overseas guest
Loved all previous festivals and am really looking forward to this one too!
