Join Moira Wairama and Tony Hopkins, the Soul Food Tellers, in the gallery as they weave some storytelling at its very best around our West African exhibition West Africa, Rhythm and Spirit.
Tony Hopkins is an actor, poet and storyteller, who was born in Washington, DC of African and Cherokee descent. He lived in Europe for some years and now lives in Wellington. Tony specialises in the telling of African and Native American stories, myths amd legends.
Moira Wairama is a well known New Zealand storyteller, award wining writer, a poet and a registered school teacher. As a storyteller, she specialises in bi-lingual tellings of Maori legends and in creating stories around New Zealand events, art works and life experiences.
Monday 5 April - Easter Monday at 2pm.
