Don't miss your last chance to hear the 2009/10 New Zealand Secondary Students' Choir in the Wellington region before they travel to compete in British Columbia, Canada, in July.
This outstanding choir of New Zealand's finest school-aged singers is directed by Andrew Withington, with repertoire including New Zealand music by Richard Oswin, Douglas Mews, David Childs, Wehi Whanau, Ieti Leu’u and Diane Cooper, jazz and spiritual classics, Brahms, Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Parry.
Reviewed by Lindis Taylor at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Wellington, in October 2009: “This was simply one of the finest choral concerts of the year.”
Previous New Zealand Secondary Students' Choirs have gained a strong international reputation, with awards including Choir of the World at the 2006 Hong Kong International Youth & Children’s Festival and Champion Mixed Voice Youth Choir at the 2006 World Choral Olympics in China.
