Stone Carving Workshop for beginners with tutor Anna Korver, 10 and 11 April (Sat & Sun) at the Sculpture Workshop, 762 Dominion Rd, Mt Eden.
Course Outline:
This course is perfect for anyone who would like to try their hand at stone Sculpture/Carving. Starting with the basic techniques, students will learn a wide range of hand carving skills and complete one or more works in Oamaru stone.
About the Tutor:
Anna has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Sculpture and began carving from a very young age. She has sculpted around the world, carving public pieces up to 4 metres in height. You can see some of her work on Anna's website www.annakorver.co.nz
Fee: $195 - Includes 1 block of Oamaru Stone and use of basic tools; additional blocks and tools available for sale.
