The Flying Farewell is the last event of the Lift Off Levin Festival of Ballooning. The aim is to fly over the township as part of a competitive event to be named on the day.

This will normally be a Hare and Hounds event, where the balloonists (the hounds) will attempt to track down one elusive balloon that has had a headstart and has no intention of being found (like any good fox).
