Malvina - My Life in Song

Malvina-My Life in Song reflects her love of all things musical. As a young girl country singing was a favourite pastime, which was then followed by the desire to take part in many Operatic Societies Productions. Under the tuition of Sister Mary Leo in Auckland she achieved International acclaim, and it was the arias she was introduced to during this time that remain in high esteem for Malvina personally, and which will be current in her upcoming South Island performances.

Malvina - My Life in Song is a two-hour journey of well-known arias, popular songs and
entertaining anecdotes shared by the Dame herself. From her humorous childhood memories
to performances at some of the most famous opera houses in the world, Dame Malvina draws
the audience in with her candour and warmth.

Four of the Dame’s special friends will join her on this tour - brilliant young soprano Rachel
Pike, exciting tenor Karl Perigo, popular musician and vocalist Vicki Lee and acclaimed accompanist
Kirsten Simpson, who is returning from London for the tour.
