Brian Auger's Oblivion Express

Legendary pianist, bandleader, session man, Hammond B3 innovator and key player in the rise of jazz/rock fusion, Brian Auger brings his Oblivion Express show to Christchurch for one night only!

With over 20 studio recordings, a Grammy nomination, 10 albums charting in Billboard’s Hot 100 and a number one single, This Wheel’s On Fire, Auger is a true original who comes to the stage ready to inject his music with fire and passion.

Auger has recorded with such great luminaries as The Yardbirds, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Eric Burdon and Down to the Bone, as well as having played with Rod Stewart, Long John Baldry, Julie Driscoll and Jimi Hendrix. His new incarnation – Oblivion Express is a family affair, featuring son Karma (drums) and daughter Savannah (vocals), accompanied by Andreas Geck (bass).
