A gala concert with over 200 gay and lesbian singers from 9 choirs from North America, Australia and New Zealand as a part of the Out and Loud Choral Festival.

Featuring the world première of David Hamilton's new work for massed choir and organ.

The piece is conducted by Dr Karen Grylls with Dr Indra Hughes as guest organist.

The gala concert started off with over 200 gay and lesbian choristers walkging up fhe aisle from the back of the hall accompanied by Indra Hughes on the organ. David Hamilton's piece, Me he korokoro tui for massed choir and organ, and conducted by Karen Grylls received a standing ovation. Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir entertained the audience with Gay vs Straight Composers. And GALS Auckland performed Anthony Ritchie's Carving brilliantly.
