A Day at the Beach is a multi-faceted environmental action & entertainment festival happening over three weeks from September 1st to the 24th, on the iconic West Coast of the South Island. Expecting a 5000 strong crowd throughout, the Festival unfolds through a series of events called 'Beach Days' & 'Wild Nights' that are linked together in sequence by a crew of passionate New Zealanders doing a 350km walk along the coastline from Karamea in the north to Franz Josef in the south. The Festival provides something for everyone - and getting involved is as easy as spending a day at the beach. There’s three main ways to get involved - take part in the adventure, the Beach Days, and the Wild Nights.
