Conservation is at the heart of all we do here at Wellington Zoo, and we know that it is just as important to you.
To celebrate Conservation Week activities in September, Wellington Zoo has a hands-on, fun and informative day of activities lined up for Sunday 20 September. Come and get involved!
Be a Bush-Builder, make a bird-feeder, and learn about the biodiversity in your own neighbourhood. Meet our animals, chill out with a documentary, and hear from our keepers and Department of Conservation rangers about the work they do to protect native species.
Complete our Conservation Quiz on 20 September and you will go into the draw to win a “Junior Zoo Keeper for a Day” * experience, among other prizes.
10% of all admissions will go directly to the Wellington Zoo’s Conservation Fund.
For more information please go to www.wellingtonzoo.com, call 04 389 3692 or email zooevents@wellingtonzoo.com.
*To be eligible to be a Junior Keeper you must be aged between 7 and 17 years and have an adult to accompany on your day. There is also a prize pack for under 7 year olds.
