The World's Largest Line Dance - The Body Festival 2009

The 2009 Body Festival launches itself off with another whopper – and it’s smokin’! Bring along the family, rope in your pals, or challenge your colleagues to a corporate showdown as united we stand (and slide!) along to the classic dance anthem ‘Dancing in the Street’ accompanied by the charismatic Cathedral City Line Dancers.

The Body Festival in association with the Christchurch Mail, and with the support of The Radio Network, presents an attempt at the world’s largest line dance with Classic Hits Breakfast hosts Jason Gunn (Dancing with the Stars) and Dave Fitzgerald as your MCs.

The routine is incredibly simple and easy but makes for a fantastic and fun shin-dig. So grab your Stetson, cowboy boots and chequered shirt and mosey on down to Victoria Square to lend your hand (and legs) to our worlds largest line dance attempt.

Turn up from 5.30pm for some one-on-one tuition with Mary Stanley-Shepherd and the Cathedral City Line Dancers as they teach you the specially commissioned “Body Festival Slide” line dance. At 7pm we go for the record.
