This is New Zealand Theatre at its most exciting and challenging. Its themes are universal, but ultimately it is a story of Aotearoa and the weaving of our indigenous Maori culture with the first European settlers. At the play's heart - a beautiful tale of forbidden romance, and a story that deserves to be told.
Janelle made her debut on Titirangi's stage in 2001 under the direction of Christine Nash, then moved overseas to study her craft at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland. Janelle worked on the animated show 'Bro Town' and co-produced 'Bro Town Live on Stage' for the NZ International Arts Festival in 2008. Currently she has a new live action comedy show project and continues to develop independent theatre work.
