Short Film Screening - September Session

We are organizing a short film screening on the 3rd of September, at Te Karanga Art Gallery, on K’Road. The idea came after participating of the 48H competition this year and watching some pretty interesting films at the Auckland Finals and wondering – where do they go after the 48h? Where do these people hide?
Since the team I had the privilege to participate proved to be very active and productive I’m positive many other teams may have been creating some other amazing works that deserve to be seen and talked about.

So, if you have any film that you’d like to show, please send it to me (DVD format) and my friends and I will select 8 shorts to be screened.

Some points to consider:

- This will not be a competition of any kind, so don’t expect any prize;
- This is an opportunity to meet like minded people and socialize, network, movie-talk and get a beer;
- Since we want to keep this a short film deal, please submit movies that are up to 15 minutes long;
- Any genre is welcome;
- The screening is being overseen by our good friend Ant Timpson, who can’t be present due to a busy schedule but is keen to know which works will be shown;
- You don’t have to be in Auckland to send me your work, any work from other cities is welcome;

We count with your participation to make this work, so please talk to your mates and RSVP. If, for any reason, your movie is not selected this time, no worries… we want to do this more often, depending on how this first experience goes. Bring an open mind and good attitude – we are in this industry to have fun and meet cool people.

If the film maker is present at the screening we’ll give him/her the chance to have a quick Q&A AFTER the film (2-3 mins).

The entry will be a Koha. There will be a bar with beer, wine (and tea for those non-drinkers out there).
